Today we say goodbye to our wonderful Volunteer Officer Julie Draper, who leaves Healthwatch Somerset to take up a new role in the health and social care sector.
Julie, who managed Healthwatch Somerset’s team of volunteers, is leaving to work for the Community Council for Somerset as a Mental Health Village Agent.
This new post will see Julie supporting local people in Sedgemoor to find community based solutions to address their health and social care needs.
Julie said: “I will miss my colleagues the most along with Healthwatch Somerset’s dedicated team of volunteers. I would personally like to thank everyone for the support and guidance that they have given me over the last 16 months.
“I have learnt so much about our local health and care services and have thoroughly enjoyed attending events with the volunteers. The highlight for me has to be the Campervan & Comments Tour in March this year. It was a pleasure to drive Milo our Campervan across Somerset and to engage with so many members of the public, the feedback we received was fantastic, it was just amazing!”
